    A 10-year veteran of the U.S. Marines Corps, Sgt. Rolf C. Tusing, formerly of Leesburg, was recently selected as "Marine of the Year" for Marine support battalion, which consists of 10 letter companies worldwide. He is a communications operator assigned to the Naval Security Group Department of the U.S. Naval Communications Station, Rota, Spain.

    John Bell celebrated his 30th anniversary with R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co. John went through the Donnelley apprentice program in the Chicago division and was transferred to Warsaw as a cylinder making foreman in 1962. John and his wife, Suzanne, are the parents of two girls and a boy and reside at Route 2, Leesburg.

    Stop and shop at Robinson's, downtown Warsaw, for specials such as a dozen oranges for 29 cents; pork sausage for 49 cents per pound; lard for 25 cents per pound; and butterscotch pie for 45 cents.

June 10 1923

    Many months ago Violet LeHew, employed at the DePuy Splint Factory here, noted that splints were being shipped to a Dr. LeHew in Oklahoma. She wrote the physician asking if he were any relation to her father. An exchange of letters followed. Yesterday the LeHew family from Oklahoma arrived in Warsaw, en route to Washington, D.C., and spent the day here. It was found that the families were of distant relationship.
