    Amanda Beer and Benjamin Yoder have been chosen as valedictorian and salutatorian respectively of the class of 1996 of Wawasee High School.

Beer is the daughter of Dr. Kenneth and Lynne Beer of Milford. Yoder is the son of Ken and Ferne Yoder, Syracuse.

    Terry Haney and Phil Thomas, both of Warsaw, served as pages in the Indiana State Senate for Sen. V. Richard Miller. This offers the students a better opportunity to understand state government and witness first hand the legislative process at work during the 102nd Indiana General Assembly.

    The Wagon Wheel Playhouse will present its first production July 2, marking the opening of a new era in entertainment in the Northern Indiana area.

The idea of supplying the people of this area with professional theatre during the summer months was conceived by Major Herbert Petrie, of Warsaw and Winona Lake, as a civic gesture. The Wagon Wheel Playhouse will be on U.S. 30, just east of Warsaw. Plays will be presented in a large tent which is adaptable for use in warm weather. It will be equipped with comfortable arm chairs.

    Theodisia Arnold, of Warsaw, is among the 72 seniors at Butler University who will receive a state license to teach in Indiana high schools when she is graduated from the university June 15. Arnold will be granted a license to teach English and Latin with the additional privilege of teaching history and French by special permission.
