Winners in the Warsaw Community Public Library adult services photo contest have been announced. David Babbitt's entry in the contest was voted the public favorite among 48 entries submitted, while Pete Fussle earned top honors for technical merit. The men received $50 gift certificates from Blosser's Camera and Video Electronics.
Four Warsaw Community High School wrestlers qualified for the state finals by placing in the first four at the tournament at Muncie Delta High School.
Janet Walter, of this city, received the championship trophy in the 1952 baton twirling contest held for Indiana senior high school girls. Janet is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T.R. Walter, North Maple Avenue.
Ralph Howard, 210 S. High St., a student in the Citizens' Military Training Camp at Fort Benjamin Harrison, has been promoted to the grade of corporal in Company L in orders published June 28, 1927, by Col. George D. Freeman, commanding officer of the camp. He is a son of Dr. Norman Howard, Warsaw.
