Ricky and Jessie Creekmore of Warsaw caught a 8-1/4-pound channel catfish from Pike Lake, fishing with minnows on a spin-cast outfit. The brothers are the sons of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Creekmore.
Arthur Bloomer, formerly of Warsaw, now with the accounting department of Howard Hughes Agency, Culver City, Cal., was in Warsaw to renew old acquaintances and look around the town. Bloomer, who had not been in Warsaw for the past 13 years, commented on the way the town had remained unchanged. "I was walking down North Lake Street," stated Bloomer, "when someone said 'Hello Arthur,' just as though it were 13 years ago and I was a common sight in town. I then recognized Don Harmon, a former school mate of mine."
ETNA GREEN - An old landmark of Etna Green, the building where the Jerry Shorbe store was located 50 years ago, and which was purchased by Samuel Melick, who conducted a store there for many years, has been moved to the rear of the lot by its present owner Homer Melick, of Washington, D.C., to be repaired and a filling station to be added to the corner of Broadway and Walnut streets vacated by the removal of the building.
