    WCHS graduate Brett Weaver has decided to continue his baseball career on the college level at St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer. Weaver was selected as the Outstanding Pitcher for the Tigers after helping lead coach Jim Dermondy's team to a 21-10 season and the Northern Lakes' Conference championship during the 1993 season.

    For the second year in a row, the Whitko High School baseball team is the winner of the Three Rivers Conference. Team members are Rex Kreger, Bill Hough, Steve Mort, Jim Bryant, Dave Anweiler, Nick Kreider, Gregg Kiefer, Mike Trump, Ed Gebert, Neal Frantz, Roger Boggs and Jeff Rostochak. Their coach is Bill Patrick and the batboy is Chad Patrick.

    Mrs. James K. Turner, of this city, was elected national corresponding secretary of the Lambda Chi Omega sorority at the convention held June 19-21 at the Marott Hotel, at Indianapolis.

Mrs.William Pittenger, also of Warsaw, was general chairman in charge of the arrangements for this, the 27th convention, held by Lambda Chi Omega, which also marked the 30th anniversary of the sorority.

    Marian Herrick, an instructor of languages in the Warsaw High School, is enjoying a trip abroad. She will land in Glasgow, Scotland, on Saturday, going form there through England, on to Paris, Venice and Rome. She will arrive back this fall just before the opening of school.
