    Hardesty Printing Co., 411 W. Market St., Warsaw, and Rochester, is celebrating its 20th year in business.

HPC began when the commercial printing business was purchased in 1974 by Frank and Alice Hardesty in Rochester. It expanded in 1986 by purchasing Warsaw Printing.

    SOUTH BEND - Joe Beeson, professional at the Warsaw Racquet Club, won the junior veteran's division of the Northern Indiana Open Tennis Championships by defeating Dee Stevenson, Niles, Mich., 1-6, 6-2, 6-2.

July 5 1954

    Terry "Butch" Wayne Teel, 4, and Kathy Dorsey, 5, were chosen "cutie king and queen" from among more than 90 boys and girls at the North Webster Mermaid Festival.

Terry is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Teel, Mentone, and Kathy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Dorsey, Syracuse.

July 5 1929

    Herbert Hehler, proprietor of the Modern Cobbleries, received a consignment of 5,000 pounds of sole leather in a single shipment, which is said to be the largest single shipment of sole leather ever received in Warsaw.
