Warsaw's "Rattlesnake" Ray Fenix will be making his television boxing debut when he fights Johnny Miller, of Portland, Maine, in a light-heavyweight match at Resorts International in Atlantic City, N.J. Fenix has a record of 7-1.
"So long truckers - happy driving on new bypass," proclaimed a sign in downtown Warsaw today and it pretty well expressed the sentiments of all residents following formal opening of the new U.S. 30 bypass.
Ray MacArthur, Warsaw's only blacksmith, tells us that he spends about half the time on the road, going where shoeing is to be done, toting along his portable anvil all over this part of the state. Ray reports that he recently visited "Plunk" Kleckner, veteran Warsaw blacksmith who is now retired and lives on a southern Michigan farm.
Complaint has been made by citizens that boys are shooting song birds. This act is in violation of the laws of the State of Indiana and any further violation will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Let this notice be a warning.
