    At a recent meeting Tri Kappa sorority members were installed as officers for the 1994-95 year. They are Liz Frazetta, recording secretary; Sarah Wappes, treasurer; Miechi Petro, corresponding secretary; Mary Stamper, president; and Jill Thallemer, vice president.

July 30 1979

    Dennis Tucker and Ann Lash will reign over the 63rd Kosciusko County Fair this week after being selected 4-H King and Queen during the 4-H tenure awards program in the Warsaw Community High School auditorium. Dennis is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Tucker, Warsaw, and Ann is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Lash, Mentone.


50 Years Ago

July 30 1954

    Sandra Shanbeck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Shanbeck, of West Perry Street, received a plaque for catching a bluegill while the family was vacationing recently at Arbutus Lake near Travers City, Mich.

A bluegill, measuring 11 inches long, weighed 1-1/2 pounds and was caught with fish worms. Sandra's picture holding the fish and plaque appeared in a Traverse City paper recently.

    The Warsaw orchestra, consisting of the following musicians, will play over WOWO Fort Wayne broadcasting station: Mrs. Howard Wakefield, piano; Herschell Campbell, violin; Jack Vampner, banjo; and Harold Smythe, guitar.
