    Stephanie Hall, 874 Old U.S. 30, Bourbon, recently participated in the STAR (Student Taking Action for Recognition) events recognition program at the national leadership meeting of Future Homemakers of America, in Cincinnati.

Hall is the first member of Future Homemakers of America in the Triton chapter ever to compete at the national level. She received a Three-STAR award, the highest possible award given at the national level.

    Kim Cripe, considered by many to be the finest Warrior gridder to ever wear the Wawasee green and gold, added additional honors to an already sparkling four-year prep career Saturday by being voted the outstanding player in the annual Indiana High School All-Star game played at Bloomington.

July 29 1948

    Mayor Charles H. Rice and fire truck driver Roy Hauth went to Logansport Friday to accept delivery of a new Boyer fire pumper for Warsaw and Wayne Township, as the drive to provide a home for the equipment passed the $1,000 mark.

With the city unable to meet the cash requirements for an addition to the fire station, volunteer firemen offered to spearhead a drive to raise the necessary money.
