Youth from North Winona Church of the Brethren will leave for the National Youth Conference in Fort Collins, Colo. The conference will be attended by thousands of young people from across the nation. Attending the conference are: Connie Kimpel, Karla Homburg, Joe Kimpel, Kurt Homburg, Shelly Rodgers, Rob Paton, Jay Earl, Izzy Young and sponsors Barb Rogers and Jim Folk.
Michael L. Mauk, son of Mrs. Harold E. Mauk, Milford, is attending Officer Candidate School, Newport, R.I., under the Naval Enlisted Scientific Education Program.
Charles Dressel has retired from his position as operator at the railroad tower at Milford Junction following many years of service for the B. and O. Railroad. Dressel and Howard Love, both retiring this summer, leave E. Foreman as the only "old timer" working at the junction tower.
"Chief Rain in the Face," the Indian in front of the Roberds cigar store, has been given a coat of paint of various colors. The itinerant painter who did the job also brightened up most of the barber poles in the business district.
