Members of the 4-H horse judging team who competed at the area and state meets are Brandy McGuire, Dawn Beery, Leslie Herendeen, Gretel Peters, Andy Shepherd, Dennis Trump, Mindy Elliott and Brooke Maze. The team finished first in area competition and second at the state competition.
The Warsaw American Legion Post 49 color guard recently became the first Warsaw group to win the state championship in the 75-year history of the competition. The 49ers were selected as the best color guard in the state at the convention in Evansville. Members are Fred Neer, Gary Konkle, Bob Montell, Carl Hamman, Gene Bender, Larry Brown and James Hyde.
Mrs. Beecher Wiggins, of Herscher Addition, south of Warsaw, entertained Saturday afternoon in celebration of the third birthday of her little son, Ernie. Prizes were awarded to the children and balloons were given as favors. Many gifts were presented to the guest of honor.
Mrs. Logan Williams, Warsaw, and Mrs. Glenn Young, Milford, entertained 60 guests at the Tippecanoe Country Club Wednesday afternoon. The party was a luncheon bridge.
