    Jennie Boyer of Wawasee High School was honored at the recent Future Business Leaders of America National Leadership Conference.

Boyer placed eighth in the nation in keyboarding applications. She was among the more than 6,000 delegates selected to attend the conference, which was held in Chicago. Matt Pifer and Ryan Henry from the Warsaw FBLA also attended the conference.

    Walking on a pair of stilts is more than enough challenge for most people. But some youngsters at Winona Lake Park raced down a 5-yard course with a winning time of 24 seconds. The racers are Carl Lauster, first place; Marty Lauster, second place; Patty Boyer, third place; and David Imel, fourth place.

    Attorneys Ezra Graham and Jesse Eschbach were in Chicago to attend the baseball game Wednesday afternoon between the Cubs and Boston Braves. It was Attorney Eschbach's first major league game.
