    For the second consecutive year, Dr. June Reed, Warsaw, has been nominated for inclusion in Who's Who in American Nursing. She is president of Indiana State Nurses Association, the Kosciusko County Nurses Society and is employed at the Indiana University School of Nursing.

July 24 1973

    Lowell Luce, Winona Lake, was awarded third place in the annual apprenticeship contest sponsored by the Indiana State Council of Carpenters held at Kokomo.

The contestants were all graduating apprentices and the contest is held each year to recognize the top carpenter apprentices in Indiana.

July 24 1948

    After more than four years of civic planning and cooperation of the entire county, Warsaw's new all-weather Memorial Municipal airport will be dedicated July 25.

The event will be marked by a tremendous air show which will include speed-of-sound jet fighters, a giant B-29 Superfortress in flight, a helicopter, balloon ascension, two parachute drops, and more than an hour of solid stunt and truck flying from the field.

July 24 1923

    A hard driven fly ball crashed through a windshield of an auto occupied by Fred Banghart, Cleveland Bonewitz and Frank Willette while they were watching the Argos-Warsaw game at Argos. The shattered glass fell around them but none was cut or hurt.
