    Isaiah Knouff, 10, and Dustin Pifer, 9, recently competed for the United Gymnastics Academy in Indianapolis. Isaiah tied for the gold medal in the vault, but was awarded the silver medal because of his all-around score, and Dustin finished seventh in the floor exercise.

    Elaine Batalis, 10, and her brother Lee, 5, held four of the 14 trophies they will award to first place winners at the harness races at the Kosciusko County Fair. Harness racing will be the feature in the grandstand during the fair.

    Reub Williams, years ago, in The Northern Indianian, advocated a road around Center Lake. Now the only way to get it would be to dredge the lake out and build one out of the excavated materials as Chicago had to do. In the future, no additions to the city should be approved unless 10 percent of the ground is for public use.

July 22 1922

    Stating his dog "Sport" was "pining away" in the city pound because of a lack of music and good food, Charles Strick pleaded with the court to let him go to jail and release his dog. The court refused the request.
