    A trio of track standouts made their marks at the White River State Park Games in Indianapolis.

Eric Grossnickle and Brad Seiss earned gold and bronze respectively in the 11-12-year-old high jump, and Greg Seiss won gold in the 800-meter run for the same age group.

    Winners of the Rozella Ford Golf Club women's nine hole invitational tournament are Carole Johnson of the Crooked Lake Club and Ruth Hire of North Manchester, low gross winners; Millie Fitz, Goshen Club, and Elsie Swanson, Rozella Club, low net winners; and Barbara Kimble, Fort Wayne Elks, and Pat Riley, North Manchester Club, low putts winners.

July 22 1954

    Mrs. M.B. Zimmerman, of Silver Lake, was kissed by the Rev. E.C. McCance after he had named her the Grand Old Lady at Ladies' Day festivities held at the high school. Zimmerman, who is 98 years old, was selected by members of the Salome Rebekah Lodge.

July 22 1929

    A large number of Warsaw young people gave Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hodges an old fashioned belling through the streets of the city Monday night. After the belling all gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hodges where the newlyweds are residing at present, and refreshments were served.
