    Leo Stults was recently drawn as the winner of the $200 savings bond donated by Rabb Water System at the 1993 Mermaid Festival. He was presented the award by Don Clemens, co-owner of Rabb Water System.

    The Beta Chapter of Tri Kappa sorority presented Beth Bower, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Bower, Warsaw, with a $50 honorarium for outstanding musical achievement while at Warsaw Freshman High School. The money will help defray tuition costs for an Indiana State University music workshop Beth will attend in August.

    William Bare and Billy J. Davis have been assigned as game wardens for Kosciusko County, it was announced today in Indianapolis by Doxie Moore, director of the Indiana Conservation Department. Davis is one of 55 new conservation officers whose assignments were announced.

July 22 1928

    Pierceton young men, who for the last month have been students at the CMTC, Fort Benjamin Harrison, returned home last night, having enjoyed their stay in the military camp at the expense of Uncle Sam.

They are Arthur Richart, Gordon Orr and Clifford Dill. The Pierceton boys all brought home medals, while young Dill secured three of the medal awards for (1) being the best first-year man in camp; (2) marksmanship; (3) shot put.
