    Chad King won the local round of the third annual Marsh Super Sacker Contest held July 12 at the Marsh Supermarket, located on 500 E. Market St. The contest is part of Marsh Supermarkets' company wide event.

King has been sacking groceries for two years. He received a book of 15 Marsh video passes as a prize.

    WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Airman Michael J. Morganthaler, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Morganthaler Jr., Rt. 1, Syracuse, has graduated at Sheppard AFB, Texas, from the U.S. Air Force missile facilities specialist course conducted by the Air Training Command.

Airman Morganthaler, who learned to operate and maintain missile support equipment, is being assigned to Davis-Monthan AFB, Ariz., for duty with a unit of the Strategic Air Command.

    Dr. Dan Urschel, prominent Mentone physician and cardiac specialist, noted throughout the state for his work in brucellosis and diseases of the heart, has been named senior member of the American Federation for Clinical Research.

Appointment of Dr. Urschel is in recognition of his outstanding contribution to medical science in clinical research in brucellosis and cardiac disorders.

    A collision occurred between a car driven by T.J. Harrold, Bourbon, and Charles Wineland at Detroit and Main Street. Wineland was taking home 100 pounds of ice and had the block of ice at his feet and was not able to manipulate his brakes quick enough, before he hit the other car. The damage was slight.
