    Winners of the grand prize bicycles during Wednesday's drawing at the Kosciusko County Fair were Michael Dove, 10-year-old son of Lori Dove, Beaver Dam, and Stacie Hoffman, 21-month-old daughter of Hal and Aime Hoffman, Claypool. The annual toy giveaway is sponsored by the Kosciusko County 4-H and Community Fair Board, with toys donated by area merchants.

    At the regular meeting of John C. Peterson Post 49, American Legion, at the post in Warsaw, Capt. Fred Neer, Commander of the Post Color Guard, presented the first place trophy which the color guard won in competition at the 59th Department of Indiana Convention held at Evanvsville.

Other members of the Color Guard are Eugene Bender, James Hyde, Gary Konkle, Cpl. Larry Brown, Sgt. Bob Montel and Carl Hamman.

    Joe Metzger, high school agricultural instructor at South Whitley High School, was elected president of the Indiana Vocational Agricultural Teachers' association at the organization's annual meeting held at Purdue University in Lafayette.

    After 22 years on the same job here as tailor for the Loveday Tailoring Co., Ole Foxvog, of North Buffalo Street, has resigned and today began a short vacation. Foxvog has not announced his plans. He is considering both opening a tailoring shop here and accepting a position outside of Warsaw after a rest of a few weeks.
