    NORTH WEBSTER - The final nights of the 46th annual Mermaid Festival were busy ones with the Queen of Lake and Cutie King and Queen pageants.

Dawn Burch, 19-year-old daughter of Dennis and Linda Burch, of Mentone, was crowned Queen of Lakes in the Lions Club activities. Daric Snyder, son of David and Robin Snyder, Leesburg, was named Cutie King, and Cutie Queen was Elizabeth Plank, daughter of Bob and Susie Plank, Cromwell.

    Christopher Darin Chubb, 1121 E. Center St., Warsaw, is The Times-Union "Calender Boy" for the month of July. Chris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Chubb, will celebrate his eighth birthday on July 4, at the same time the United States observes its 200th birthday. Chris attends McKinley Elementary School and his father is a math teacher at Warsaw Community High School.

    Fred Irwin, well-known Warsaw resident, accomplished what every golfer dreams of when he shot a "hole in one" Saturday afternoon at the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club golf course.

Glee Miner and Paul Vermillion, both of Warsaw, and H.F. Scott, of Milwaukee, were playing with Irwin when he shot his eagle on the par-three hole.

    The Times today was presented with a handsome bouquet of lilies from the flower garden of and by Mrs. Mathew Rittenhouse. The beautiful waxlike appearance and fragrance of the lilies is very striking and the donor will accept the thanks of The Times.
