    Two area restaurants are mentioned in a new book, "Indiana's Favorite Hometown Restaurants," highlighting the best places to eat in Indiana, according to state lawmakers. They are the ViewPoint and Wolfgang's, both of Warsaw.

    Remember Keith Thibodeaux, a professional drummer since the age of 4, who played the part of "Little Ricky" on the "I Love Lucy" show?

Well, "Little Ricky" and Keith Thibodeaux are one and the same person and the former child actor - the 29-year-old - will be in Warsaw this weekend as the drummer for the band David and the Giants.

July 18 1955

    Earl Rust, Muncie chief of police, who has a cottage on Durham Lake, south of North Webster, is the subject of an article in a Muncie newspaper. A great lover of wild life, Rust has made friends with a redwinged blackbird which he has named "Wingy." The two first became friends when the bird had a bad wing. Rust is now able to call the bird and it will come down to the electric wire and then hop down to the ground to eat peanuts.

July 18 1930

    The 101 Ranch Wild West arrived in Warsaw, in the wee hours of the morning, and as the long circus train came to a stop, hundreds of kids stormed the observation platform, in the hopes that they would get a glimpse of the famous movie star, who is known to millions of lovers of the silver screen.

From the huge studios of the west coast, Jack Hoxie brought his entire company of eight people, who have important parts in the huge production, "Making Movies in Hollywood," with a carload of special scenery, and the Kleig lights, the grinding of the camera, as the various actors go through their parts, just the same as they do when making real movies.
