Elmer Hahn, who has operated the movie machine at the Centennial and Lake theaters here for many years, is due home this week from Los Angeles, Calif., where he has spent the past 40 days. Elmer and wife have been touring the movie studios. Theater manager Nick Mallers received a phony newspaper from Los Angeles with the starting streamer: "Elmer Hahn Signs Contract With MGM."
Mr. and Mrs. Horace Kimes entertained the YPM class of the Mt. Pleasant M.E. Church at their home. Mrs. Charles Robbins, the president, led the devotional service and after a short business session the class spent the evening in various games and contests. Prizes were given to William Milburn and Tiffin Foster.
