    Heather Perzanowski, a senior at Wawasee High School, recently took part in the Kirk Mann's Shooting Camp held in Fort Wayne.

Perzanowski, a member of the Lady Warriors' basketball squad, was named All-Around Champion at the conclusion of the camp. She posted the highest scores of all players attending the camp, which was based on daily drills, competitions and overall performance throughout the week.

July 17 1976

    Steve Sebo and Jeff Tallman received two trophies at the Meridian Hills Country Club two-ball best junior (17 and under) invitational. The two shot a best-ball 69 (two-under-par) and defeated 30 other teams. They won in a playoff as Sebo shot 77 and Tallman 74.

    Charles Decker, of Claypool, has entered three litters containing 34 pigs in the 1951 National Duroc ton litter contest and will be trying hard this summer to reach and go above the ton total.

Other entries in this area include Russell Juillerat, with one litter of nine pigs; Robert Thomas, with one litter of 12 pigs; Russell Thomas, with four litters of 37 pigs; and John Thomas, with one litter of nine pigs. All are from South Whitley.

    The residence of John W. Maston at Pierceton, was struck by lightning. Although not much damage was done to the house, the concussion was so terrific that it hurled Matson out of bed and he was quite badly shocked.
