Jason Shepherd has won Grand Champion steer at the Kosciusko County 4-H Fair for the third year. He is the son of Phyllis Shepherd and the late Palmer Shepherd.

William Nuetzel, district safety engineer of the Chicago Motor Club, presented a citation to Police Chief Donald Snyder in honor of Warsaw going through 1954 without a pedestrian traffic fatality.
Fred Ringenberger, Warren Plummer, William and Kenneth Fawley, Walter Sands, Ed Jones, Thomas Phillips, Samuel Stump and Floyd Nepp gathered at the home of Clifford Fawley near Warsaw July 8, and took in about 20 loads of hay. Fawley, who has been ill and unable to work for the last eight weeks, greatly appreciated the favor.
