    Spike's Beach Grill won this year's BalloonFest Mud Volleyball tournament June 29. Players are Bob Pfefferkorn, Greg Hall, Tad Varga, Todd Walker, Joel Wihebrink and Dave Ransbottom.

    Keith Beiser and Bob Richmond, both members of the Warsaw Toastmasters Club, recently received a certificate of appreciation for working with youth in the community. The awards were presented by John Connolly, area governor, and Charles Woodling, president of the club.

July 10 1956

    A cow owned by Mr. and Mrs. Millard Stookey, of near Leesburg, has set a state record in milk production.

The cow, a registered Holstein-Freisian named "Rivermede Rag Apple Pietje Joan," set a new Indiana production record of 20,547 pounds of milk and 947 pounds of butterfat within a year, according to officials of the Holstein-Freisian association of America.

July 10 1931

    Raymond Kemper, who served the last four years in the U.S. Marine Corps, has received his discharge. He arrived at Winona Lake last Friday to spend the summer with his father, L.L. Kemper. During his four years of service he has been in China, the Philippines, Guam, San Diego and Hawthorne, Nev.
