The Rotary Club of Warsaw recently presented city councilman Bob Richmond with the seventh annual "Pete Thorn Achievement Award." The award is given each year to honor a man or woman who best exemplifies the qualities and principles of Pete Thorn.
Cathy Creighton, 16, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gale Creighton, Warsaw, is the youngest member of 13 to leave Monday for a three-week missionary trip to Zaire, Africa. Cathy will be a junior at Warsaw Community High School.

Thomas Jones of Plymouth, ball player on Sunday and a barber during the week, will retire from the tonsorial profession. Jones recently invented a machine for casting parts used in storage batteries. Recently he received a check for $12,000 for his invention.
