    And the winner of the 1990 Queen of Lakes Pageant is ...

Jennifer Leslie Woodward, 21, daughter of Richard and Luann Woodward, 3178 N. CR 200W, Warsaw. She competed in the pageant under the title of "Miss Waubee Lake II."

    Karen S. Allen, Rt. 4, Syracuse, is among 12 Butler University coeds who were honored by the University chapter of Women in Communications for scholastic achievement and campus leadership during the past year.

Miss Allen received a Spoke Award, highest junior honor given by the organization.

    Three 4-H club girls, Dorothy Pinkerton, Milford; Jackie Hardin, Silver Lake; and Marilyn Wood, Sidney, have been chosen to represent the county at the state fair girls school at the fairgrounds at Indianapolis, it was announced by Mrs. Glen Snellenberger, the home demonstration agent.

Eunice Beer, Milford, and Mary Ann Tucker, Sidney, have been named as alternates in case any of the others are unable to attend.

    Wilma Tenney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Tenney, Pierceton, and Helen Landis, North Manchester, left on a sightseeing tour of the north and east. They went by way of Detroit, Mich., where they took the steamer on Lake Erie to Buffalo and Niagara Falls. From there they will go over into Canada, where they will visit at Toronto, Montreal, Lake Champlain and other places of interest. They will then go to New York City, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Norfolk, Va. They expect to be gone three or four weeks.
