Keith E. Ridenour, son of Donald E. and Eva Ridenour, Route 3, Warsaw, has been promoted to the U.S. Air Force to the rank of senior airman.
Paul Arbaugh, 742 N. Lake St., Warsaw, wanted to give his wife, Arletha, something special for their 25th anniversary. Late on the afternoon a billboard reading "Dear Arletha: Thank you for 25 wonderful years! All my love forever, Paul," was put up, he took his family for a drive and stopped at the traffic light at the corner of Lake and Main streets, where the sign is located. Mrs. Arbaugh spotted the roses on the billboard and was remarking how beautiful they were when it suddenly occurred to her that her and her husband's names were next to the flowers.
Warren L. Ellis, Leesburg, was initiated recently into the Purdue University chapter of Tau Beta Pi, national engineering honorary fraternity. Selection to Tau Beta Pi is one of the highest honors a student in engineering can achieve. To be eligible for membership a student must be in the top fifth of his class, and also meet under rigid rules of selection.
Free moving pictures are given each Saturday evening at Etna Green. The town board of Etna Green purchased the machine and the pictures are purchased by the business men. This added attraction drew a large crowd on Saturday and it is expected to be an attraction during the summer months.
