    Warsaw attorney William M. Dalton II is a member of an elite group of persons who has received an invitation to the inaugural ball for President-elect George Bush. Dalton is "out and about" again after several stays in the hospital while doctors worked out medication for a testy problem with an erratic heart beat.

    If awards were presented to police officers for the most complete investigation of traffic accidents, Syracuse Deputy Marshal Joe Thornburg would be in the running. On a recent report of an accident where a deer was struck and killed, Thornburg listed the age of the deer as three years and noted that she had borne a doe in the spring.

    After a lengthy discussion Tuesday night, members of the Warsaw American Legion voted to build a non-rental home, one that will not be used for club activities only. The new Legion home, to be erected in the near future, will be located on the northwest corner of the Main and Buffalo street intersection.

    Mrs. Elmo Calvert, East Center Street, entertained a party of six at her home on Tuesday evening. Her guests, Mrs. Creed Thomas, Mrs. Clarence Maish, Mrs. Jesse Mellencamp, Mrs. Joe Lessig and Mrs. Frank Simcoke, spent the evening playing Mah Jongg.
