    Nobody will be gathering at Reuben James Gathering Place restaurant and lounge for a while - at least not under the same name. The bar has been sold to Rocky Clemens, who is owner of Time Out Inn.

Word has it that Clemens plans to renovate the interior and reopen the business at a later time. However, the future bar apparently won't be a replica of Time Out, Old 30 West, which is considered the biggest-selling bar in Kosciusko County.

    Dr. Ida Miles of Warsaw, received her degree of Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) during December commencement exercises of Palmer College of Chiropractic at Davenport, Iowa.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Wallen of 105 15th St., Winona Lake.

    An essay submitted last summer by George M. Fleck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ford Fleck, South Whitley, in the first annual national Woodwind competition, won second place for the South Whitley lad in the double reed division.

The Woodwind competition was conducted by Woodwind Magazine, which is published in New York. Fleck was awarded a prize package of music from M. Baron Co., New York City, for his essay, titled "The Historical Evolution of the Oboe."

    Myron Rager, son of Lee Rager, caught the greased pig at the Servia home coming celebration last fall. The pig then weighed about 70 pounds but the boy had visions of making it a bigger hog and was successful for it weighed 250 pounds when he sold it the latter part of the week. He received $28.12 for it.
