    Seven shooters braved the cold weather recently to participate in the Warsaw Rifle and Pistol Club monthly muzzleloader match and first Santa Shootout.

Winning the 25-yard 6-bull match was Jesse Gaff, who scored 40 out of 50. Bill Rose won the 25-yard Fur-De-Lac match with 45 of 50, and Jesse Gaff was the winner of the 50-yard Santa Shootout.

    Warsaw Standard Oil Co. dealer, Oscar E. Werner, announced his retirement from his gasoline and oil retail business located on Ind. 15 north this week.

He has served this community for 27 years, beginning as a dealer in Huntington in 1946 and transferring to Warsaw in 1947.

    Dr. Alva J. McClain, president of the Grace Theological seminary, and Mrs. McClain, of Winona Lake, recently returned from Cincinnati, Ohio, where he attended the organizational meeting of a new national group to be known as the Evangelical Theological Society.

The purpose of the new society is to "foster conservative Biblical scholarship," and membership will be on an individual rather than an institutional basis.

    Marian Ker, Mabel Leibrock, Estelle Lynch, Opal Anglin, Maurice Loveday, Joe Headley, Robert Kuhn, Bill Laurien and Richard Beroth, students at Indiana University, resumed their studies on Monday morning after spending the holidays in Warsaw with their parents.
