    After months of anticipation, Bob Evans Restaurant is officially open in Warsaw. Among those attending a ribbon cutting ceremony were Mayor Jeff Plant, who cut the ribbon. The restaurant chain now has 250 stores.

    Joining the high score group at Gilliam Bowling Lanes are Ross Belcher, Tony Munson and Albert Rider. Belcher had a three-game series of 712, while Munson and Rider rolled 700s. These bowlers join 36 others at Gilliams who have rolled 700 or more, and they lead the league at the present time.

    The city tournament of the Warsaw Women's Bowling association was concluded this week with all new city champions. The most coveted title, all-events scratch, went to Mrs. Doris Ann McCray, of the Royal Recreation team, with series of 460, 502 and 580 for 1,542 actual pins in nine games. Runners-up were Alpha Wedrick with 1,508 and Mary Alice Shipley with 1,499.

    INDIANAPOLIS - The George Lindsay Cup for the best front page of an Indiana daily newspaper was awarded to the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel at the Republican Editorial Association meeting here.

Second place was given to the Goshen News-Times and the Vincennes Commercial, and the Warsaw Times won third and fourth places.
