    Warsaw's gymnastics team won its first meet of the season as it beat Fort Wayne South 83.9-18.6 Monday night.

The Tigers were led by Deb Wilson, who was the all-around champion with a score of 30.15. She won all four individual events.

    LANDSTUHL, Germany - Outstanding duty performance at Offutt AFB, Neb., has earned the second award of the Meritorious Service Medal for Master Sergeant Stephen G. Phillips. son of Mrs. George E. Phillips of 523 W. Jefferson, St., Warsaw.

He was honored at Ramstein AB, Germany, where he is now a member of the U.S. Air Forces in Europe.

    Robert Brennan, Warsaw, is a member of the 86-piece Indiana University concert band which will give its first "pop" concert of the year on Jan. 21, at Bloomington. Brennan, a graduate student at I.U., plays clarinet in the band and was chosen a member of the group through auditions conducted by the department of bands.

    Frances Bowser, Ralph Steinebach and Dr. C.R. Wagner, of Warsaw, Fred Walker and Dr. Hugh Snyder, of Milford, will go to Indianapolis, where they will attend a conference of the commanders, adjutants and service officers of the American Legion.
