    The U.S. Air Force has announced the retirement of Master Sgt. Samuel F. Horn, son of Mrs. Robert Kolbe of 1412 Ranch Road., Warsaw, and grandson of Faith Shearer of 404 West Park, Bourbon, after 20 years of service.

Horn served as a resource plans superintendent at Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark., prior to retiring.

    Preparing for a mid-March opening, the discount division of Danners Inc. will occupy the former FBC Building on Old Road 30 West near the North Lake Street extension and Fox Farm Road.

    Norma Henderson, daughter of Sheriff and Mrs. Ray Henderson, has been selected as one of five finalists from which a queen will be chosen for the International College mid-winter prom at Fort Wayne.

Henderson, a graduate of Warsaw High School last spring, enrolled at the International College last September.

January 28 1924

    Pierceton school children labored all day yesterday and until late yesterday afternoon, assisting in moving school furniture and equipment into the new Pierceton High School building.

Pierceton school classes for the past two years have been meeting in churches and business rooms. The new building and equipment will probably cost in excess of $100,000.
