    FRANKLIN - Sherry VanWey is one of several students serving internships during the winter term at Franklin College.

Van Wey is working at WKJG-TV channel 33 in Fort Wayne. She is the daughter of James and Barbara VanWey, South Whitley.

    A trio of area robins were apparently a shade late in their trek south last fall. As the thermometer was plunging below zero last week, Mrs. Lawrence Brown, of Rt. 7, Warsaw, was reporting three of the red-breasted springtime friends at a bird feeder outside her Chapman Lake home.

    A number of the Warsaw business men are celebrating birthdays this month. Among them are Harold "Dutch" Ford, John Kelley, Don Schade, Bob Moore and Charles "Tip" Welker.

January 28 1929

    Dr. A.C. McDonald will serve as president of the Warsaw Country Club for another year. He was re-elected to this office at the dinner and annual meeting which the club members held at the Masonic Temple.

Wilbur F. Maish was elected vice president and Ernest Myers, secretary and treasurer. The directors chosen were Dr. W.B. Siders, Wilbur F. Maish, Joe Lessig, who is chairman of the house committee this year, and Frank Swihart, who has charge of the green's committee.
