    Alyssa Eileen Raphael, 9, Warsaw, is a contestant in the Miss America Pre-Teen Pageant.

The third grader at Madison Elementary School is the daughter of Leola Raphael.

    James W. Schmidt celebrated 25 years of service with L.M. Berry and Company Friday. He joined the company as Kentucky office manager in 1949. He took over management of the Warsaw production office at its formation in May 1971.

    Four people will each receive a free pair of shoes at the Central Shoe Store as a result of their ability to name Milford as the Kosciusko county tournament champion, plus guessing the nearest correct total number of points scored in the 13 games.

Simons Schrader, 406 E. Fort Wayne St., was the big winner by missing the correct score by only one point, and second place resulted in a three-way tie with Mrs. E. H. Koch, Dale Mock and Juanita Lentz.
