Laura Alt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Alt, Warsaw, is part of Valparaiso University's International Study Program spring semester.
Each semester, a group of undergraduates study at international study centers. Laura, a sophomore at VU, will study in Puebla, Mexico.

City Court Judge Robert Burner submitted his resignation to Common Council members, who last night accepted it and recommended that Gov. Otis Bowen appoint Michael Valentine to replace Burner.
Burner's resignation become effective on Jan. 31, and he stated that he is resigning to devote more time to legal practice in the firm of Snodgrass, Burner and Lambert.

Warsaw police are looking for a thief who apparently likes to collect pen and pencil sets.
Officers report that he broke into the American Brattice Cloth Corp. building on South Buffalo Street sometime Monday night and escaped with three pens and three pencils. More valuable articles were not taken.
75 Years Ago January 22 1925
The $100 award offered by the B&O Railroad as first prize in the Potato Club was won by Fred Robbins of Pierceton, a member of the Pierceton vocational class and one of the Kosciusko County members of the B&O Potato Club. There were a total of 79 entries.
Robbins won with a score of 92.9 and that of the nearest competitor was 92.2. His yield was 478 bushels an acre.
