    Ann Lindsey was honored for her 25 years of banking service Jan. 2. At that time she received a cake, corsage, lapel pin and monetary gift in appreciation.

She became involved in the banking business with her father, Ralph Mason, at First State Bank in Bourbon, shortly after her graduation in 1941. She began working full time at the Etna Green Bank Jan. 1, 1971, and remained there when they merged with First National Bank of Warsaw.

January 21 1981

    Terri Custer, 20, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Custer, Milford, received her dental assisting cap at a capping ceremony Dec. 14 at Indiana University South Bend. Custer will start her internship Jan. 14 at Indiana University South Bend.


50 Years Ago

January 21 1956

    Six high school musicians from this area have been chosen to play in a clinic band at Purdue University Saturday.

The six are Janet Heisler, of Etna Green; Ann Berkeypile, of Bourbon; Morris Brown, of Bremen; Tom Tarman and David Smoker, of New Paris; and Judy Grant, of Columbia City.

75 Years Ago

January 21 1931

    Lester Sutherlin and Leonard East, both of near this city, who recently took government examinations for meat inspection at Fort Wayne, have just received letters from Washington stating that they passed their exams, each making an average of 86 percent. They will be given government positions and will be located either in Washington D.C., Chicago or St. Louis. Both young men graduated from Warsaw High School with the class of 1925. Sutherlin is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Sutherlin, east of Warsaw, and East is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur East, of west of the city.
