    Two Kosciusko County farmers were recognized as Outstanding Young Pork Producers in the state.

Kevin McSherry, Rt. 1, Claypool, and John J. Sands, Rt. 1, Silver Lake, were both given the honor at the annual Indiana Pork Conference this weekend.

    Two students from the Warsaw area were named to academic honor lists at Indiana Institute of Technology, Fort Wayne, for the fall quarter of the current school year. They are: president's list - Tim E. Engle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Royse Engle, Warsaw, and dean's list - James D. Richard, Warsaw.

January 21 1948

    Big Don Lozier, Leesburg's fine center, accepted the basketball used in the final contest of the tourney in behalf of his team. Don, a very popular boy, paid tribute to the Milford team. The Leesburg quintet took the defeat in fine style, and the general feeling of the players was, as Dick Klopenstine told us: "Nobody can defeat a team that hits practically every shot they take, and that was what happened tonight."
