Mrs. John (Kathryn) Teel, Rt. 1, Mentone, has announced she will seek the Republican nomination for county treasurer in the May 4 primary, becoming the first county official to enter a bid for re-election.
Mrs. Teel said she has "tried to bring better service to each taxpayer in the county" and would like to continue in the office which is responsible for collecting and disbursing funds for the entire county.

The 40th anniversary of the West Side Mothers' club was celebrated at the meeting for which Mrs. Harley Poor, of North Lake Street, was hostess.
