    Members of the Warsaw chapter of the Indiana FFA attended the Indiana FFA winter leadership camp held Dec. 7 through 9 at the Indiana FFA leadership center near Trafalger. The camp theme was "'Tis the Season."

Those members attending the leadership development program from the chapter were Jake Tusing, Andy Hart, Scott Hanes and Chris Seibold.

    Mrs. Gene (Jean) Messmore, Rt. 1, Warsaw, became the first candidate to announce her intention of seeking a public office in the May primary election when she revealed she will bid for the post of county clerk.

Messmore revealed she will seek the office on the Republican ticket.

January 10 1951

    Sunday the congregation of the First Baptist Church will begin a week-long celebration marking the 100th anniversary of the institution, which was founded on Jan. 11, 1851.

The morning worship service, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Reginald Shepley, in addition to being the first held in connection with the celebration, will also be the first of a weekly series of Sunday morning services, sponsored by the church to be broadcast over radio station WRSW.

    Last night Warsaw and vicinity was assured of its 1926 ice supply. The Collins Ice Company house on Pike Lake is filled and work ceased with 8,000 tons of the best ice ever packed here stored. Yesterday's run measured 8 to 10 inches. Manager Clase finished at Center Lake at noon with his houses filled to capacity.
