    Fears of additional snow and high winds were not realized, but the process of digging out of the year's first major snowstorm - which dumped about 1 foot of snow on Warsaw - continued today.

    Enrollment statistics for the spring semester at Grace College and Seminary have just been released. There are 630 students beginning the semester in the college and 232 in the seminary.

    Ten-year-old Ray Heiman and his pony became heroes after racing more than a mile through a sub-zero blizzard to summon help when the family home, five miles near Goose Lake, caught fire. Young Heiman rode through the country fields surrounding the home to a neighbor's house.

Jan.22 1922

    A car demolished by a Nickle Plate train was sold as scrap for $10 after its driver and four passengers escaped injury in the accident. The passengers in the car dived through the side curtains after the car stalled on the railroad tracks.
