    Little Crow Foods of Warsaw is one of the few family-owned businesses remaining in the very large and competitive food industry. It was founded in 1903 by Wilbur F. Maish Sr. Today, Robert D. Maish, grandson of the founder, is the president and sole stock holder, with the exception of the Employee Stock Ownership plan.

    Syracuse-Wawasee lake residents are reminded by Conservation officer Earl Money to telephone him if they spot any abandoned ducks around the lakes. Now that the lakes are frozen, the ducks will soon perish without water. Just feeding the ducks willl not keep them alive. Many ducks were tamed and fed throughout the summer by lakers who have since returned to their winter homes.

    A little "worse for the wear" but perking along okay is Warsaw's equestrian Earl "Mac" McCoy. "Mac" recently received the blunt end of a punt by one of the horses at the Warsaw Saddle Club barns.

    Skating at Center Lake is again ideal, reported youngsters who today enjoyed the sport. "Smooth as glass," replied the Times carrier boy. "Not very thick, though," he added.
