    It may have been the heat of battle, or simple forgetfulness, but a WSBT-TV (Channel 22) camera, valued at approximately $30,000, was found on a sidewalk outside the Kosciusko County Justice Building. Warsaw was the focus of much attention by at least four television stations as the State Recount Commission concluded its lengthy recount of 3rd District votes.

    Francie Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Johnson, 121 N. Union St., Warsaw, accompanied Clifford Gibbons, son of Congressman Sam Gibbons, of Tampa, Fla., to a congressional holiday reception at the White House in Washington, D.C. They were greeted by President and Mrs. Nixon at the reception.

Jan. 25 1947

    Merle Shively, local bowling alley manager and star basketball hurler, journeyed to North Webster to referee the North Webster-Leesburg basketball game. When he returned home, he was met by a happy wife who had just received an award of $200 at a local theater.

Jan. 25 1922

    A housing corporation comprising Warsaw and Winona Lake men announced that it expected to start building 10 new cottages on Winona Lake as soon as the weather permitted. Organized within the past few weeks, spokesmen for the corporation said an additional 200 summer cottages and 50 winter homes were needed in Winona Lake immediately.
