    The honor of being the first baby of 1988 at Kosciusko Community Hospital goes to Bryan Michael Bolinger. Bryan was born Jan. 1 at 12:57 a.m. He checked in at 9 pounds, 5-1/2 ounces and was 23-1/4 inches at birth. He is the first child of Monty and Jennie Bolinger, Rt. 8, Warsaw.

    Jack Koch was recently named sales engineer for the Union Tool Corp. of Warsaw. Koch is an engineering graduate of Notre Dame University.

    We hear that the Eagles' New Year's Eve floor show included the best animal act ever. Two big white Persian cats put on boxing gloves and fought to a knockout, standing up on their hind legs and punching like pugs, retiring to their corners at the end of the rounds and hopped into the fray again with the bell. However, the "knockout" looked a little rehearsed.

Top buckle fastened - "Lay off me, Ferdinand; I'm engaged." Two buckles open - "Come on kid; let's step out." All buckles flapping - "Distress signal - grab me quick, kid - I'm wild."
