    Jeffery A. Feldman, Rt. 2, Box 112, Akron, was named to the Vincennes University's dean's list for academic achievement. To achieve recognition on the honor list, students are required to complete 12 credit hours or more and make an average grade of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale.

    The Warsaw YMCA swim team defeated Fort Wayne Central on Saturday by a 492-250 count. This was the first victory by a Warsaw 'Y' team over a Fort Wayne team in the history of the local unit. Leading local swimmers to victory were Jill Wright and Theresa Armstrong with victories in four events. Both girls are undefeated in competition this year.

Jan. 14 1948

    One of the most popular players on Warsaw High School's cage quintet is little Joe Unrue, five-foot, seven-inch junior who has won the admiration of local fans with aggressiveness and showmanship on the playing court. Little Joe is the only non-senior on the starting five, and although he has scored only 35 points in ten games, he still has proved to be a sparkplug on defense and in setting up offensive plays.
