    Harold Clifford of Clunette recorded his third annual hole-in-one at the Big Boulder Golf Course in Milford Jan. 15. The shot came on hole No. 3, where he also scored an ace in 1988, and was witnessed by his wife, Catherine, and Don Hoffman of Leesburg. In 1989, Clifford aced hole No. 8.

    Diane Savage, an Indiana State University junior from Warsaw, is one of the top archers on the ISU archery team this year. Recently she placed second in the women's bare bow division of the Midwest Indoor Intercollegiate Archery Tournament with seven colleges from five states competing.

    It was announced today that the city schools of Warsaw, in one week's time, have collected $869.75 as their contribution to the March of Dimes polio fund. Superintendent of Schools Carl Burt said the drive by high school pupils is not finished, since this week's high school project, "sacrificial week," will not be over until Friday afternoon.

February 8 1925

    Fae Oram, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Oram, of this city, sailed from Paris on the S.S. Lafayette, for the U.S. via Havana, Cuba, according to a radiogram received by her parents here today. She will visit in Havana and stop in Florida with her aunt and grandmother before coming to Warsaw. Oram has spent the past eight months in Europe.
