    Four Warsaw Community High School students competed Jan. 23 at Northridge in their first Academic Decathlon, and two came home with medals in essay writing.

Lisa Bowdler, Dwight Kohler, Carrie Anne Seiffert and LuAnn White represented the school at the all-day event, with Bowdler earning a first-place medal for her essay in the honors division, and Kohler taking second in the scholastic division.

    Brian Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Williams and percussionist member of the Warsaw Community High School Band directed by Philip Eherenman, has been selected to participate in the 1978 annual Indiana All State High School Band, sponsored by the Indiana Bandmaster Association.

    Lester D. Davis, Warsaw, principal of Atwood School, who is district governor of Lions Clubs, will be honored Wednesday night when the Fort Wayne Lions Club holds its annual district governor's banquet in the Chamber of Commerce, Fort Wayne. Davis is governor over an area including 52 clubs in northwestern Indiana.

    The Warsaw Rotary Club this noon was addressed by W.F. Maish on "Rotary Aims." Clark Mumaw favored the club with a vocal solo with Mrs. George Anglin at the piano.
