    Marine Lance Cpl. Joanna L. Ricker, daughter of Jacquiline Hartman, Pierceton, recently received a Commanding General's Inspection Outstanding Achievement Award.

Ricker was cited for superior performance of duty while assigned with Combat Service Support Detachment-21, 2nd Force Service Support Group, Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, N.C.

    Robert E. Brennan, Warsaw pharmacy owner and externship director of the Butler University College of Pharmacy, has been named recipient of the "Albert C. Fritz Pharmacist of the Year" award by the Indianapolis Association of Retail Pharmacists.

The award is given each year for outstanding achievement in the field of retail pharmacy.

    Nancy Anglin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Anglin, Bourbon, has been installed worthy adviser of the Bourbon Rainbow Girls. The ceremony was held in the Masonic Hall, which was beautifully decorated in keeping with the valentine season.

    Birdie Hess, who is a senior at Indiana University and whose home is at Etna Green, has been appointed managing editor of the university paper, "The Indiana Daily Student" for the second semester.

Hess has been a member of the Daily Student's staff for four semesters, and also is senior editor of the Arbutus, the school year book.
