WASHINGTON, D.C. - A Warsaw Community High School senior is one of 19 students in Indiana's 3rd District nominated to a U.S. military academy.
Ten students from Warsaw Community High School came home with honors recently from the Office Education Association regional contest held at South Bend Washington High School. Winners were: Ellen Brookins, office service clerk, fifth place; Deb Bennett, typing, first place; Deb Hableib, prepared verbal, second place; Therri Games, verbal extemp, third place; Cindy Spangle, typing, sixth place; Patty Rule, typing, fourth place; Linda Pound, typing, third place; Brenda Konkle, accounting, second place; Lesa Hall, verbal extemp, fifth place; and Dixie Felabom, accounting, first place.
Hobart Creighton and John Frederich, of Creighton Brothers, were expected home today from Kansas City., Mo., where they have been attending a fact-finding conference sponsored by the Institute of American Poultry Industries. The sessions were held at the Municipal Auditorium.
NORTH MANCHESTER - Joe Wagner, North Manchester, was elected new editor in chief of Oak Leaves, the Manchester College paper, by the students and will commence his new duties at once.
