    Brozie Whitaker, of Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw, will celebrate her 100th birthday with an open house at Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church, Silver Lake.

She was born Feb. 23, 1894.

    Warsaw Community High School's Distributive Education Chapter recently captured first place in the District 2 contests for the third year in a row.

Members who will participate in the state contest at French Lick include Mike Cusick, Student of the Year; Cory Coleman, first place, job interview; Chris Rogers, first place, general merchandising; Tammi Haney, first place, marketing and distribution tests; and Charlie Wheeler, second place, food services.

    "O boy, another Hoosier!" was Herb Shriner's greeting to Stanley Arnolt, Warsaw industrialist, when the two appeared in a telecast from the international sports car show in New York City. Friends of long standing, they kept up a rapid-fire banter as the camera pictured interesting features of "The Bat," designed by Bertone, of Turin, Italy, in collaboration with Arnolt.
